Chris Lemon, MSW, LCSW

Chris is passionate about issues surrounding the LGBTQ+ community in Utah, and he is an activist at heart. He has experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, and serving this community has been the major focus of his education. Chris received both a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Utah. He also graduated from Silver Hills Elementary School, but nobody ever seems to be interested in that.

His therapeutic approach has elements of CBT, DBT, Mind-Body Bridging, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, and mindfulness. Chris believes in the individual’s power to heal from past traumas and negative experiences, and he rejects the myth of “broken self.”

Chris identifies as a gay, cisgender man, and his pronouns are he/him. He has a really amazing and supportive partner who has a bald head and a red beard. They’ve been together for more than six years, and they live in the lovely 9th & 9th neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
