My name is Collin Willardsen (he/him) and I am a new intern at Flourish Therapy.
I'm a single-father, and I’m currently pursuing my Masters of Social Work through the University of Denver's online program. I earned a BS of Psychology from UVU and have lived in Utah since 2018.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. I love the outdoors, athletics, video games, and music. I was raised in a very Christian/conservative house (LDS). This meant that a great deal of homophobia and transphobia was apparent throughout my upbringing, and ever since I was young, those things felt wrong to me.
Having a strong passion for standing up for the bullied and marginalized, and having known many members of the queer and trans community, has instilled a deep passion to help those in that community. I have always had a strong passion for helping others and am very excited to work in this field.
