Gioia Johnson, CSW
Gioia Johnson (she/they) is an intern therapist from Utah Valley University’s college of Social Work. Gioia has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from BYU and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from UVU. She received her Master of Social Work from UVU.
She has worked in a variety of settings: schools, residential treatment centers, with the unhoused population, and has aided clients in crisis situations. She also has clinical experience working with individuals and couples.
Gioia is passionate about normalizing mental health care and advocating for marginalized populations. She loves helping people work through faith transitions, and also loves working with the LGBTQIA+ community.
