Maddy Mortell, Student Intern

Hello, my name is Maddy Mortell, and my pronouns are she/her.

I’m a master’s student

therapist in Utah Valley University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program. My therapy

approach is ever evolving, rooted in client collaboration, radical acceptance, and

curiosity. Like my approach, I firmly believe that we are ever evolving, and I’d love to

help and walk with you through whatever your journey looks like.

My experiences with LGBTQIA+ emerging adults brought me to the therapeutic profession, and I’m so honored and excited to be working at Flourish. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ couples, parent-child relationships, and individuals. I find great fulfillment in working with people going through spiritual and/or religious journeys, in whatever way that looks for them.

I will primarily be working in person at the Flourish office in Orem. I am willing to coordinate remote work if needed, but I’d prefer to see you in person!

In my free time, I love collecting recipes, rocks, and plants. I play any type of racquet sport… ping pong, racquet ball, tennis, pickleball, you name it!

I’m excited to get to know you!
