Jessica Peterson, Student Intern
Hi, I’m Jessica! (she/her) I’m an Intern in the process of getting my Masters in Mental Health Counseling & Wellness from NYU. I also have degrees in Anthropology and Western Philosophy from Wagner College.
I thrive when supporting women’s work and I am excited to help trans women find their power in that arena too. I also enjoy helping clients navigate the dynamics of finding their own unique path as queer parents. My deepest passion is for the work of integration and returning people to themselves.
My communication style leans toward visuals & metaphors to explore your felt sense of an experience. I bring a strengths based, empowerment centered, trauma informed approach to my work. Most of all, I see tremendous gifts of genuineness and authenticity in the people who come to Flourish for care. I’m eager to reflect back to my clients the beauty of their being and encourage their journeys of liberation and self-discovery.
I’m a budding astrologer, explorer of Nordic shamanism, and a lover of tarot & oracle cards. I also have a long history practicing various Eastern wisdom traditions and I can incorporate mindfulness practices and guided meditations into our work, if that resonates. I live with my husband, two sons, and our cats in the mountains of Washington.
