They graduated with their Master's in Social Work with an emphasis in Mental Health from the University of Utah in 2025 after completing a Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Global Intercultural Distinction at Utah Valley University in 2023.
Kirra is most passionate about supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ folks (especially those who are transgender, non-binary, gender-expansive, and exploring gender) as well as individuals experiencing disability, chronic illness, chronic pain, medical trauma, or medical loss. They have extensive experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, PTSD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, faith or life transitions, grief and loss, and a variety of other challenges that bring folks to therapy. They especially have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and older adults in a supportive capacity from various backgrounds.
Kirra cares deeply about getting to know their clients and takes a client-centered approach in building an eclectic therapeutic practice using many different modalities to best meet the needs of each unique client (including dialectical behavioral, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and feminist multicultural therapies (and beyond!)). They recognize the impact of systems and oppression on individuals and work to help individuals build the skills they need to survive and thrive in challenging circumstances. As such, Kirra is a passionate advocate for social justice and cares deeply about the well-being of their fellow humans, working to create social change in individual and collective movements locally and on a larger scale.
In their free time, Kirra enjoys getting outdoors. Whether hiking, climbing, or going for a walk, Kirra loves looking for new birds to identify and record. They also enjoy building LEGO with their partner and dabbling in watercolor painting. Kirra enjoys fantasy and storytelling and can often be found listening to a Dungeons & Dragons podcast, playing D&D with friends, or reading fantasy novels. They currently live in south Salt Lake with their partner, houseplants, and many, many LEGO creations.
