Amanda Steele, Student Intern
Hi, I’m Amanda (they/she)! I’m a graduate student in social work at the University of Denver Online. I was raised in Idaho and have lived in Utah most of my adult life.
As a genderqueer queer person, I’m interested in assisting clients who are part of the community. I also am neurodivergent and know how difficult it can be to find therapists who understand and support neurodiversity, queerness, and mental health concerns. I hope to be that safe space for you! I was raised Mormon and can assist people dealing with religious trauma. I take a feminist multicultural approach to therapy and use a variety of tools and therapeutic modalities within this framework.
Before starting my social work education, I was a professional writer with a degree in English and Gender Studies from UVU. I have experience using poetry and writing for social change and love to integrate art and writing into mental and emotional well-being. I love animals and have five lizards, one snake, and two ferrets.
