Maeve Hutchins, Student Intern

Hi, I’m Maeve!

I am an intern at Flourish. I work in-person at the Orem office and also offer telehealth. I am currently accepting new clients—couples and families only.

I am working on my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University and am set to graduate at the end of 2024. I got my bachelors degree in Human Developmental Sciences from UC San Diego in 2021.

I identify as bisexual and neurodivergent. I am passionate about the intersection of queer+LDS and I enjoy helping my clients navigate the complex, beautiful, and messy gray areas that entails. My focus is couple and family therapy–which means I use a systemic lens in my approach, accounting for the familial, intergenerational, societal, political, and historical factors that contribute to how folks relate to one another.

My style is warm, easygoing, and emotionally attuned. I will support you in processing your trauma, gently challenge you when needed, and provide a safe space where we can celebrate your queerness! Come as you are and rest assured you are safe to be your authentic self in my presence.

I am originally from Southern California and now live with my partner and 2 cats in Utah County. In my free time I can be found singing whatever is stuck in my head at the moment, playing video games with my husband, or doing homework in cute coffee shops.
