Reagan Lenington, PMHNP-S
I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and moved to Utah in 2020 after graduating from nursing school. I originally worked with surgical specialties and transplant patients at the University of Utah.
The patient population consisted of individuals who had undergone kidney or liver transplants, as well as those receiving gender-affirming surgeries. Here, my appreciation and passion for the LGBTQ+ community grew. I eventually left the inpatient setting and moved to an outpatient setting, where I have been since 2021.
My work remained focused on surgical patients, with the addition of ECT procedures. Here, I remembered my love for psychiatry leading me to start the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program with Rocky Mountain University in 2024. I am in the home stretch of my program with a graduation date in April 2026! For now, I will be with Flourish, training under Ruth Blair.
My practice revolves around trauma-informed care and the latest evidence-based practices. I have built my care around taking a holistic approach to mental health and integrating both medication management and psychotherapy into treatment plans. I have worked with all age groups, but I love working with adolescents and young adults.
