Brittany Beckstead, Student Intern
Hello, I’m Brittany!
I am a student intern working toward my Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Alliant International University. I bring deep compassion and a genuine desire to help into every session. My approach is collaborative—walking alongside you, supporting your goals, and honoring your unique experiences and values. My hope is to create a space where healing, acceptance, and authentic connection can take place.
I care deeply about people’s stories—the triumphs as well as the trials. I also bring a bit of a bold spirit to my work: asking honest questions, challenging unhelpful patterns, and encouraging clients to explore their lives with courage and clarity.
I was raised in the LDS Church, which gives me a deep understanding of the culture, faith practices, and the ways certain teachings can sometimes contribute to challenges such as shame, discrimination, or religious scrupulosity. I have specific experience working with eating disorders and OCD, including when symptoms are tied to religious beliefs.
I also hold a deep love and respect for the LGBTQ+ community. Especially in regions where oppression can feel heavy, I am committed to providing an affirming and supportive space. I can’t wait to meet you and go on this journey together
