Zoe Plaza, Student Intern

Hi! My name is Zoe (She/Her), and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) student intern currently attending Utah Valley University. I am dedicated to providing inclusive care and building a collaborative relationship where we can work together to navigate identity, life transitions, relationships, and any unique stressors you may face. In an environment where members of the LGBTQ+ community face stigma and discrimination, I hope to provide a safe and compassionate space where you can process your lived experiences and explore your mental health concerns without fear of judgment.

I operate from a person-centered perspective that believes every individual has the capacity for inner healing and growth. I implement elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help address distressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you align with your unique values and life goals.

I have experience working with individuals experiencing OCD and anxiety, and I recognize the stigma and misinformation often associated with these concerns. I am passionate about helping clients who feel stuck in cycles of uncertainty confront their fears in a supportive environment while developing skills that encourage resilience and lasting well-being.
