Helen Card, LCSW

Helen, LCSW (she/her), was raised in Northern California and moved to Utah in 2009 during the economic recession. She now lives in Oregon to be closer to two of her four grandchildren. Helen is a mother of five and has been remarried for six years following a 23-year marriage.

Helen spent most of her professional career in retail operations, where she discovered a passion for empowering staff and building meaningful relationships with vendors and clients. Seven years ago, she transitioned into nonprofit work in the poverty-elimination sector, an experience that inspired her to return to school. She graduated from Utah Valley University with a Master’s in Social Work.

Helen is licensed in both Utah and Idaho and provides telehealth services. She is deeply passionate about supporting the LGBTQ community. Helen and her children identify as LGBTQ, including her trans daughter, and she values creating affirming, authentic, and compassionate therapeutic spaces.

Over the past year, Helen has worked closely with women healing from domestic violence and sexual assault. She takes a strengths-based approach and is passionate about helping individuals process trauma, reclaim their voices, and live authentically.
